Hello
Jamaican Blue Mountain has arrived just in time to help celebrate Yahava's 10 Year Anniversary. With our new Singapore store now open and this months Specialty Estate to try there are many reasons to enjoy your Yahava this month...
Yahava celebrates 10 YEARS!
A perfect time to look back at what we have achieved so far. I remember the arrival of our first 500kg coffee pallet and wondering how on earth are we going to sell it all. I remember our first roast (PNG Sigri A) and the creation of our ever so popular first blend X-Rated and I will never forget our first customers.
That first 500kg pallet of coffee has grown tenfold+ and we have our dedicated team and all of you to thank.
So from all of us, many thanks to you, our customers, for not only sharing with us a great cup of coffee, but also your feedback and support.
It’s been a busy and exciting ten years and we are looking forward to the next ten years of adventure!
Singapore slings all round!
Yahava store in Singapore is now open! After two months of construction and four months of staff training we send a big thanks to our Singapore business partners and new 'Yahava family members' for all the hard work to make this happen.
Also a special thanks to John and Claire from WA who have spent numerous months in Singapore overseeing the project.
Next time you are in Singapore, grab a 15 minute taxi ride from the centre of town to the northern suburb of Thomson Hill where we are located in a traditional Singapore 'shop house'.
2500 sqft of retail space lends itself perfectly to relax and enjoy the Yahava experience with plenty of room to sit and put your feet up after a full days shopping! We have introduced a few new concepts to the store and the investment in the latest technology of roasting and espresso equipment will assist our Singapore team in producing the finest cup of coffee!
Introducing our small and dedicated team: Siang (Tsai) will be leading the team after having spend months of training in WA. Fahmi has taken the No 2 position whilst Audi, Tessa and Meng will be pulling shots, bagging beans and telling the Yahava story on the tasting bench.
Looking forward to seeing you at: 4 Jalan Gelenggang, Upper Thomson. Tel:6554 7080 www.yahava.sg
Anaconda in Yahava style!
Team Yahava are excited to announce their inaugural jersey sponsors for the 2011 Augusta Anaconda.
Bannister Downs Milk, The Goose Cafe & Restaurant, Deckchair Gourmet and Lancaster Wines.
A massive thankyou to Sue, Rhys, Andrea, James and their respective teams for helping our team embrace their adventurous side - at least they'll look the part!
In the meantime, training continues with Declan leading the way - rumours are suggesting he may have even employed a nutritionist. Jason has suffered a minor interruption in the form of baby Isabelle (nothing a double espresso won't fix!), while Kim and the Apprentice have been braving the winter weather to make sure they are fighting fit for November.
Don't forget to keep up to date with their progress on our Yahava facebook page - now that they're starting to resemble athletes we may even be able to post a couple of photos!!!
Avon Descent - Toodyay International Food Festival
Join Koffee Junkie and team on the banks of the Avon river at Duidgee Park this Saturday 6th August between 10am and 4pm for a cup of your favourite Yahava.
Hope to see you there!
Yahava Premium Series - Triple C
Triple ‘C’ has been created out of three certified coffees sourced from Brazil (Rainforest Alliance), Mexico (Fairtrade) and Papua new Guinea (Organic). The high grown coffee from PNG produces chocolate notes with nutty over tones. The sought-after Mexican variety brings just the right acidity into the blend, whilst Brazil completes the Triple C certification and adds strength to the middle palate and a caramel sweetness to the finish. So here we have Triple C, a unique tantalizing coffee that will appeal to the connoisseur.
For an unforgettable cup or order your beans online by visiting our orders page.
Specialty Estate ~ Wahana Estate
This month our journey takes us to Sumatra, one of Yahava's much loved and most visited coffee growing regions. This particular coffee is grown in Northern Sumatra, in the village of Lae Mungkur, at an altitude of 1500 metres above sea level.

Enjoy!
